VLT stands for visible light transmission — the percentage of light that passes through the film. 5% is limo-dark, 20% is a common sporty look, 35% is legal on many vehicles, and 70% is nearly clear heat-blocking film. Automotive tint laws vary by state, so check your local VLT limits before choosing a shade.
